Maria has been phenomenal in caring for my lipedema and lymphedema. She is patient and kind, and explains everything very well. I've seen remarkable improvement in my mobility, as well as the appearance of my legs, in such a short time. She's also terrific at navigating the endless requests from my insurance company! Maria is an excellent practitioner who gives undivided attention to her clients. She was able to significantly improve my mother's lymphedema and provide more effective compression wear for her legs. Carpal tunnel surgery left my dominate right hand extremely sore and weak after two months. My doctor recommended Maria Duran, every session was one on one for 60 minutes using different apparatus at 5 minute interval designed to increase my hand/finger strength, range of motion and skin soreness. My hand strength increased substantially as well as my skin not being nearly as tender.I am a firm believer in physical therapy, in all of my PT sessions I have never had a therapist so committed to my issue through her therapy program and personal attention, I would highly recommend Maria Duran.

Maria has been such an amazing occupational therapist. I started seeing her 3x a week for a broken wrist and I’ve gained so much mobility in such a short amount of time. Every session, we do a variety of exercises and each time, it’s a bit more challenging. She’s so professional, so warm, so much fun to chat with and just a really thorough and thoughtful OT. Grateful for all the progress I’ve been able to make.

For non-healing painful wounds on my feet I found that repeated visits to a recommended podiatrist were proving ineffective and costly in terms of my time, transportation, waiting in the waiting room, etc. A caregiver suggested I try a different approach, "addressing the underlying cause," she said: Lymphedema treatments as carried out in my home by Ms Maria Duran, an OT specialist since certification in 2008. After several sessions twice weekly, already healing is apparent. The pain level in my right foot, toe #2, has lessened a lot from about level 6 or 7 to 1 or 2 when pressured by a wheelchair transfer. So, rather than following the foot doctor's recommendation that I undergo a surgical shaving of the exposed bone, I am fortunate to be in the final phase of lymphedema treatments, according to the knowledgable and pleasant Maria Duran. Also as an octogenarian, I have a few other ailments here and there to contend with, finding that Maria gives helpful tips on how to proceed. Accompanying my review (if I've tapped the iPad. right) are two photos conveying what I've been blabbing about above.

I had severed pain in my wrist from a fall I had last summer. Maria Duran assessed my wrist and recommended exercises, along with a wrist support. The treatment really helped me manage my pain and regain my quality of life! Recommend 100%

Maria Duran is an outstanding OT. I have been seeing her off and on since 2015 for a condition that will be lifelong. She has been helpful in keeping the symptoms at bay, treating them when necessary, and taking care of any issues that arise over time. She is knowledgeable, patient, kind, compassionate, everything else you could hope for. When an emergency in my condition arose during an overseas trip, I called Maria for advice. THAT is how much I recommend her.
